Dancing on the Fringe of Darkness

On Training.

I have long harbored a pet peeve against those who use the term “training” as a means to get easy, kinky sex and torment a girl who is both sincere about learning and eager to please. I hear about it often from followers and those who inquire, and I always offer this perspective.

For me, it matters not what the particular activity is. The key elements of “training” are: 1) deep insight to a girl and her needs, 2) a sense of purpose, 3) clear goals, 4) sessions or activities meant to achieve these goals, and 5) time for reflection, feedback, praise, and/or celebration of achievements.

I would like to use my tumblr friends primallure as an example of excellent training in an area some might think unconventional. In the photo submitted above, we see a beautiful woman, posing sensually for the camera. However - if you take a closer look, you will notice her gaze is off to the side, a bit pensive, almost as if she might not be fully engaged.

I happen to think this is a beautiful photo that tells a story.

1) Her husband and Dominant began with the insight that she is an incredibly beautiful and erotic creature who has held back from exploring and enjoying her sensuality to the fullest.

2) He decided to address this by making her his erotic muse and model. His purpose was to bring her forward via progressively more erotic poses and release her to her inner desires - things she had not been comfortable expressing.

3) His goal was to bring her forward as a sensual submissive with deeply rooted exhibitionist tendencies, comfortable posing for him and others and equally comfortable in expressing her desires and needs to him.

4) He staged photo sessions with her over time - posting the results on his blog and gaining rave reviews in the process. I feel it is one of the best personal galleries I have viewed on tumblr.

5) He took the time along the way to celebrate her beauty and allure, posting his feelings and (most certainly) engaging in more and more erotic sessions with plenty of aftercare.

This is training as an art form. This is the beauty of a bond. And this is a most breathtaking documentation of a dance - on the fringe of darkness.
